GoPro’s HD Surf HERO is wereld 's enige 1080p HD on-board video en foto- camera.

Professionele kwaliteit 1080p / 960p / 720p HD video resolutie opnames /30 and 60 frames per seconde (60 fps in 720p). Laat zich gemakkelijk op een surfboard monteren. Zo licht dat de top surfers beweren geen last te hebben van de camera die op het board zit gemonteerd.

De HD Surf HERO kan tevens 5MP foto's automatisch met intervals van 2 seconden schieten terwijl je surft. Met een simple druk op de knop kun je tevens fotos schieten van je surfervaring. De volgende foto interval modus zijn in te stellen: 5 / 10 / 30 / and 60 second time lapse , single shot, triple shot, and self timer modes.

De batterij capaciteit is 2.5 uur HD video of automatische foto modus.

De meegeleverde basis plaat bevestiging is in een handomdraai te bevestigingen op je board dmv een ''plakker'' en heeft zich bewezen om goed vast te blijven zitten op het board. Dit is oa. getest in surf gebieden zoals Hawaii ,Tahiti, Zuid Mexico , Noord California.

Optionele accessoires make het mogelijk de camera te bevestigen om je pols, fiets, scooter, jet ski of helm. Tow surfing? Een borstriem bevestiging is hiervoor ook beschikbaar.

Waterproof tot 60m en beschermt tegen rotsen en andere harde voorwerpen dankzij de polycarbonaat behuizing. Vervangbare polycarbonaat behuizingen en lens kits zijn beschikbaar, zodat bij een eventuele beschadiging dit verwisseld kan worden.

5MP Photos, Automatically

HD HERO cameras can shoot hands-free, 5 megapixel photos automatically at  2 / 5 / 10 / 30 / and 60 second intervals until the batteries die or the SD card is full (2.5 hours). Or set it to single shot, triple shot, or self timer for more traditional photo taking.
